Critical reaction

With a rating of 2.75 out of 5, 123Telugu stated: "Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's acting plays a major role in making Ravanasura a rather captivating criminal thriller. The first hour of the film left one wanting more, even if the actor played a role with multiple facets. However, the second half's execution is lackluster, and the main twist is really disappointing."The Times of India's Neeshita Nyayapati gave the movie a two-star rating, writing, "There are moments in Ravanasura when it seems like much more than a mediocre attempt at a thriller. However, those times are so few."India Today's Janani K gave the movie a 2 out of 5 star rating and described the murders in the movie as "senseless with no logic" and stated, "There are many logical loopholes in the film."

Raghu Bandi of the indian express rated the film 2 out of 5 stars and wrote "Director Sudhir Varma fails to sustain the narrative as action takes over intrigue and suspense."Sakshi post rated the film 2 out of 5 stars and wrote "Ravanasura had a lot of scope for story development. The half-baked story comes with poor execution. Don't go with expectations. Watch it only if you are a fan of Ravi Teja."Sreeju Sudhakaran of LatestLY gave 2 out of 5 stars and wrote "Mass Maharaja's Ravanasura is just another stretched-out problematic revenge thriller tailored for his fan that is feebly masked by the lead character's antagonistic persona. Ravi Teja's fans might enjoy his onscreen antics, but even then an illogical, predictable screenplay and a stretched runtime proves to be the Ravanas in this tale. In this story, an extended runtime turns out to be the Ravanas.
