Narendra Nath is the writer and director of the 2020 Telugu-language business drama film Miss India. Keerthy Suresh, Jagapathi Babu, Naveen Chandra, Rajendra Prasad, Naresh, and Nadhiya are among its cast members. The story revolves around Manasa Samayuktha (Keerthy), a young woman from a middle-class South Indian family who aspires to own a tea shop in the United States. Reviews for the movie were mediocre.

Mahesh S. Koneru is the film's producer through East Coast Productions. S. Thaman wrote the soundtrack, and Dani Sanchez-Lopez and Sujith Vaassudev handled the photography.The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a delay in the film's scheduled release date of April 17, 2020. On November 4, 2020, the Telugu version of the movie, along with dubbed Tamil and Malayalam versions, was published on Netflix.

Manasa Samyuktha (Keerthy Suresh), a middle-class woman with lofty ambitions, relocates to the US following her brother Arjun's (Kamal Kamaraju) employment. Due to financial difficulties, her family does not support her ambition of launching her own tea company, which she had promised to her grandpa Rajendra Prasad in order to carry on his heritage. She must overcome sexism, criticism, and rivalry with Kailash Sivakumar (KSK) (Jagapathi Babu) in order to succeed as an entrepreneur. KSK, a formidable competitor in the coffee industry, makes attempts to undermine her by asserting that women are not capable of success, particularly in the business world. In an attempt to prove to him that a woman can be anything she wants to be, Manasa chooses to beat him. The narrative centers on about her experience and the challenges she encounters when trying to launch her company.

Aditya Music is the label releasing the music, which was composed by S. Thaman. On February 7, 2020, the first single, "Kotthaga Kotthaga," which was penned by Kalyan Chakravarthi and performed by S. Thaman and Shreya Ghoshal, was made available.[Reference required] Srivardhini sang the following single, "Lacha Gummadi," which was made available on October 28, 2020. Sruthi Ranjani and Harika Narayan sang the third single, "Theme of Miss India," which was made available on October 29, 2020. November 2, 2020 was the release date of the album.

Acceptance

Critics gave the movie mediocre to negative reviews, praising the idea but criticizing the story for its many narrative devices and contradictions, its weak language and characters, and its ignorance of sexism.
